  Another fantastic evening
As soon as we booked a trip to PDC the first thought was to book a food tour with Chris after we had such a great time in puerto Morelos a year and a half ago. Truth is we enjoy chris' company just as much as the tour. It was like meeting an old friend he is simply a pleasure to be around and share stories and experiences with. If you love food and learning a bit about local life whilst spending time with a wonderful person then don't hesitate! Anyone who loves their doggo as much as we do is a winner! Chris was an excellent guide on this tour. He’s an expert on the food, history and culture of the Yucatán and took us on a tour of Mexico without leaving Puerto Morales.   Amazing experience
One of the best and authentic experiences I have had in Mexico! Cris was an amazing guide! He was so friendly and welcoming but also very knowledgeable of the food as well as the history of food in Mexico. I learned so much from him! The people were so friendly and welcoming at every place we ate at. You can tell Cris has a great connection with them. And of course the food was unique and delicious!!   Great Food Experience
Chris, you were engaging, knowledgeable, and very organized! We’ve been on food tours before both in the states & Europe, and wasn’t sure what to expect in Mexico (a favorite of ours), and you went way beyond expectations!! We loved the way you based each part of the tour on history to the area. You made it fun! Thank you for your attention to detail.   You won’t be disappointed

  A Delicious Taste of Mexican Culture!
An amazing look into the culinary wonders of Puerto Morelos! There was so much variation in the types of foods we tried and all of it was so delicious! Our guide Chris was exceptionally knowledgeable about not only the foods we were tasting but also the culture and history of the region! An amazing day spent and would definitely re-book!

We meet at the main Plaza de la Reforma in downtown Cancun.

10:10 AM – 11.00 AM: Local Food Secret

In the heart of Cancun we will to experience one of Cancun’s culinary secrets, with, regional dishes, chiles rellenos, adobos, mole, flautas; with age old recipes that survived the Spanish conquest. Learn how the Spanish influenced the Mexican kitchen and the evolution of Mexican cuisine as locals adapted to the many imported products brought in from Europe, the Middle East and India.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Empanadas, Aguas frescas and the local neighborhoods

Taste the best empanadas around, handmade with fresh corn dough and the best cheese, served in this open space where all the families come to share and experience live performances. After we will head to taste some fresh aguas made with local fruits, perfect to walk through the local neighborhoods full of green areas and street art.

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Trip to the Local Market

Your guide will explain daily life in the amazing open-air market, regional and national products, great food, and the vast selection of spices, chilis, vegetables and tropical fruits. Meet local market owners who love to share their local food secrets. It is here that you will discover the fusion of international cultures and products that define Mexican cuisine.

1:00 PM: End Of Tour

It is here we say farewell. Your guide will help you hop on the local bus, or hail a taxi for your return to your hotel. If you want to keep shopping and enjoy the true city of Cancun, this is the perfect place to start.

This tour was way too much fun! Not only did I taste some great food, but our host Cristobal weaved these great meals with food archeology beautifully into our tour! Thanks Cristobal, I will be back to complete the other tours!
